Corn is a part of our daily lives and you may not realize it. Corn is used in most foods like soda, cake mixes, snack foods, Gum, sweetners, and cereals. Also it is used in other things like cosmetics, fuel, lotion, alcahol, rugs, and pharmaceuticals. Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Minnesota account for more than 50 percent of U.S. corn production. Corn is grown in more countries than any other crop. China, Brazil, European Union, Mexico, Argentinia, and India also are major producers of corn. Corn also helps out the economy. Framers who grow corn pay taxes on the land that they grow the corn. The Framers sell the corn to store which also pay taxes on the corn.
